Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship for Mentees
Overview
The Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship is awarded to mentees who are less advantageous financially but are accepted into the Riga TechGirls Mentorship program. The scholarship covers the full Mentorship participation fee of 198 EUR for 6 months.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Acceptance into the Riga TechGirls Mentorship Program
Applicants must have successfully secured a place in the Riga TechGirls Mentorship program as a mentee.
2. Commitment to Active Participation
Applicants should demonstrate a readiness to actively engage in the program for its entire duration, from January to June 2024, committing a minimum of 10 hours per week to their mentorship activities.
3. Demonstrated Passion for the Field
Candidates should exhibit genuine passion and interest in their chosen field, supported by a clear motivation for their involvement in the program.
4. Accountability and Reporting
Successful applicants must be willing to provide regular updates and reports to the program management, outlining their progress and contributions throughout the mentorship program.
5. Clearly Defined Career Goals and Objectives
Applicants should be able to clearly articulate their career aspirations and demonstrate how the mentorship scholarship will contribute to their professional development and goal achievement.
6. Preference for Underprivileged Candidates
The Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship seeks to prioritize women who are less socially secure, including those with little to no income, as well as those facing specific challenges such as being primary caregivers for children.
How to Apply
To apply for the Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship, applicants must complete the scholarship application form and submit it to the Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship Committee by 30.11.2023.
Selection Process
The Riga TechGirls Mentorship Scholarship Committee will review all applications and select recipients based on the eligibility criteria and financial need. The scholarship committee will also consider the applicant’s overall fit with the Riga TechGirls Mentorship program.
Conclusion
In addition to the above criteria, applicants will also be assessed based on their financial need. This will be determined by a number of factors, including the applicant’s family income, household expenses, and other financial obligations.
